Ms. Talaber got quite the surprise when she was awarded the prestigious Golden Apple in her classroom by Theresa Guiterrez from ABC-7 News. 620 nominations, 272 applicants, 32 finalists, 10 award winners. In her five years at St. Nicholas, she has led or supported efforts such as the annual science fair, the Garden Club, the Winter Market, and the drama club.
