Greetings St. Nicholas Cathedral School Families,
I hope that you are enjoying your summer and have found some time to relax. Here at St. Nicholas, we have been busy preparing for the upcoming school year.
I am delighted to be joining the St. Nicholas community as your new principal. I look forward to working with you to provide the best Catholic education possible. The entire St. Nicholas educational community is committed to achieving that goal. I greatly appreciate your dedication in providing your child with a Catholic education. Parents who choose this path for their children make many sacrifices along the way and part of my job is to make sure that your efforts are not wasted. I assure that the SNCS community will continue to build on St. Nicholas’ strong curriculum and Catholic values.
My goal is to create a learning environment where students are challenged and nurtured and where they develop a love of learning that lasts throughout their life. We have a fantastic staff who are dedicated to ensuring the success of each student. I know that together we will build an excellent STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art & Mathematics) program that we will have a wonderful year.
All classes begin on Tuesday, August 25th at 8:00 a.m. This is a regular school day (8:00a.m. – 3:30p.m.). All classes will be dismissed at 3:30p.m. Please contact your teacher if you have any questions that may be grade-level specific.
I would like to invite everyone to two upcoming events: Friday, August 21 to the Raising of the Ukrainian Flag event at Daley Plaza. We will be meeting at 11:00a.m. at Chicago and Oakley to board busses that will provide transportation. Also, we are offering a “getting to know you” Ice Cream Social on August 24th from 6:00-8:00p.m. If you cannot attend this event, please know that I am in the principal office daily and am also available by phone or by email ([email protected] ). I look forward to meeting each of you.
Sincerely,
Anna Cirilli,
Principal
